On Saturday, the 7th of December 2024, TAFTA joined forces with the Women at Risk International Foundation (WARIF) to march against rape and sexual violence against women. As part of this effort, WARIF initiated the march, titled, ‘No Tolerance March’, in 2019 to raise awareness and call for an end to rape, sexual violence, and trafficking of women.
Building on this initiative, WARIF organized the 3km walk along the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge. Participants marched from the Access Bank park down to the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge and back to the park.
The march also served as a platform to raise awareness about the devastating impact of gender-based violence (GBV). TAFTA and WARIF, along with partners like Medplus, Reddington, and Ynaija, came together to call for an end to violence against women.
The No Tolerance March brought together individuals and organizations from across the community to advocate for an end to violence against women at all levels.
By partnering with WARIF, TAFTA aims to amplify the voices of survivors, raise awareness about the devastating impact of violence against women, and drive meaningful change in our community.
