My name is Amatullah Muhammad Jamiu a promising creative girl from Kano state. Since childhood I have always been interested in storytelling of local folklore (tatsuniya), from there I began to develop a thing for writing.
I have always imagined about writing blockbusters stories for Kannywood producers, actors or actresses. I will like to write my own thriller, romance or even try out science fiction. I started putting down some stories but continue to get stuck on properly organizing or creating characters and where what or how it fits in.
I decided to turn to online help to see if I could find help on the Internet on story writing and from my numerous search results, I came across creative writing in relation to scriptwriting. Now I found an answer but how do I learn scriptwriting?
Well fortunately for me TAFTA learning train arrived around my school, I enquired about what TAFTA is all about and decided to enroll.
I was excited to see scriptwriting as part of the courses offered and began my learning on scriptwriting as this was the most important skill, I needed to perfect to further actualize my dreams.
In the beginning scriptwriting was a bit complex for me but with some guidance and mentoring I began to get the hang of it.
After a long but productive learning activities I can now say Alhamdullilah, as I’ve learnt scriptwriting and also continuing to improve on my writing skills, I am happy to announce that I will be part of the scriptwriters and actresses for the upcoming TALP X in Kano. And I want to thank everyone involved in making my dreams come through.
With consistency and perseverance Amatullah has taken her first step into actualizing her dream. Be like Amatullah and take the first step into greatness.
